FebFeast, bake instead of shake!

Not interested in joining the crowd for Febfast? We’re making this February our feasting month; FebFeast! Instead of the shaker we’re going to get our hands on some blenders, beaters and wooden spoons to whip up some tasty eats with alcohol. Here we've linked a few recipes to help you get inspired, some of these have been cooked up by our very own Wigs Team!

Firstly, we’ll need something frosty to get us through the last of our warm summer days so how about we get on to the #frosé

: Frosé

: Cointreau Frosé dry spice mix

Next we’re going to whip up some nibbles;

Boozy Bloody Mary Tomato Bombs

Shrimp Bruschetta with Limoncello

Now we need some mains to impress;

Beer Risotto with Mushroom Garlic Chicken

: Bourbon Marinade Pork Steak strawberry

And to finish it all off, dessert!

: Orange & Strawberry Liqueur Sorbet

: Prosecco Cake

A little side note on freezing alcohol;

The freezing point of alcohol varies depending on the amount of ethanol (pure alcohol). If there is any water in the alcohol, which is a guarantee, the freezing point will be high. Wine has a low alcohol content and will freeze at around -5 oC, beer -2 oC, Liqueurs (around 20% alc/vol) will go quite slushy and anything 40% or above; vodka, gin, tequila, even whisky/ey you're safe.
